DESCRIPTION:
Most of the mosaic floor in the eastern portico is well-preserved, as are two inscriptions that indicate the building's connection to the new religion, Christianity.
Instead of large stones, solid iron,
bright bronze or even adamant,
these halls have girted themselves with the much venerated symbols of Christ
As the inscription mentions, the building is secured with the blessed symbols of Christ instead of large stones, solid iron fittings, copper, or diamonds.

exedra and fragrant hall)
This inscription mentions some of the core Christian values that the founder, Eustolios, a wealthy man of the 5th-century Christian elite, wanted to convey to the visitors of the building he constructed.
