DESCRIPTION:
On the southern side of the elongated building that separates the public baths of Kourion, to the eastern and western complexes, there is a rectangular hall with a central apse flanked by two small, though damaged, rectangular basins. The hall features a monumental entrance flanked by two marble columns with spiral fluting, leading into a large central open courtyard.
During the Middle Ages, when Kourion was abandoned, lime kilns were constructed in the Nymphaeum area, where marble architectural elements were burned to produce lime. Two circular lime kilns are still visible on either side of the central apse.
