" REBUILT
BY THE VENERABLE HIGHPRIEST"

A Greek dedicatory inscription on a lintel, possibly referring to the Roman Emperor Trajan (98-117 AD), one of Kourion's most important benefactors. It is uncertain whether this inscription refers to the construction of the public baths or another public building in the city, as its current position is not its original; it was reused as building material in the early 3rd century AD.
